Week 3: Interceding for Zion’s Rebuilding Project

Scripture Reading: Haggai 2:1-23
Key Verse: Haggai 2:8-9
8 ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. 9 ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

“The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house” (Haggai 2:9). The promise of God’s glory gave hope to the people who were physically working on the house of God. However, it wasn’t just the same-old glory that was witnessed before. It was an unfamiliar glory that surpasses the previous one. The past glory brought a great sense of awe and reverence, but the glory of the present house will be GREATER! That is also God’s promise for Zion Full Gospel Church! An authentic posture of prayer and fasting can position believers to become ushers of greater glory. A house without the glory of God is just another facility. No church leader desires to build a house of God absent of God’s glory. Therefore, it is paramount for believers to work hand-in-hand interdependently to ensure such a supernatural blessing. Choose to be an usher of His greater glory!

Prayer Points
  • Pray that God will show His glory in Zion at every gathering – Life group meetings, services, leadership meetings, prayer meetings, Christian education classes etc. Pray for His glory to be revealed right now, even before the rebuilding begins.
  • Pray for more to be ushers of His greater glory in preparation for the rebuilding.
